- Transporting goods have been made easy and quicker
- Trading with surrounding countries improves
- Russia becomes a safer community due to army being able to move around the country.

Negative Consequences

- Foreigners get their land taken over by Russia.


Political Reform:

- Russia enhances their technology
- They catch up to world powers

Benefits:

- Russia is able to be looked up upon in the eyes of other countries
- This inflicts fear in surrounding countries
- Creates a safter community

Negative Consequences:

- Increasing in power might lead to unnecessary fear felt by other countries

Factories:

- Appeared in 1880

Benefits:

- Mass produce products for trade
- Economy Boost
- Increase in job opportunities

Negative Consequences:

- Forces people into factories
- Opportunities taken away from people


Social and Political Events:

Russian political reform:

- became active in 1861

Benefits:

- Peasants are able to receive more care from the government
- Leads to around 95% of the population to be happy

Negative Consequences

- The rich people lose their power due to the new government supporting the peasants

- Established after the crimean war (which started because Russia tried to invade Istanbul, Turkey)
- Made black sea a neutral territory

Benefits:

- Countries around Russia
- Demilitarization of the black sea shut down influential impacts Russia had to their surrounding countries

Negative Consequences:

- Russia loses land and power
- Countries view Russia as a weak society

The Revolution in 1905:

-The loss in Russo-Japanese War unleashed protests in Russia.
-Urban workers and peasants joined liberal groups and started the revolution.
-The government created the Duma.
-Minister Stolypin launched important peasant reforms- greater freedom from redemption payments, liberal purchase and sale of land.

Benefits:
-The poor peasants and workers can unleash their emotion and also had more freedom. Their life was much more easier because of the important reforms that Stolypin launched.

Negative Consequences:
-The rich people enjoyed less freedom and earned less money.
- The society was unstable and chaotic.
